Blendapps is proud to announce that fully integrated Userplane chat now are available for Ning Networks. Blendapps has provided fully integrated Meebo chat rooms for Ning for some time and in order to offer Ning Network Creators more choice Userplane chat has now been added to Blendapps chat solution. The Userplane chats allow Ning users to create their own chat rooms as well as chatting via audio and video - of course all these options are fully configurable by the Ning Network Creator. Both Userplane and Meebo chats for Ning are completely free to use and just requires including a code snippet on a Ning page, there is no need to upload any files or handle any code. All settings are easily handled via the Blendapps chat dashboard.

I am familular with userplane I have admined on sites using the chat.
We finaly got the chat to work, but it only lasts a couple minuthes an then the chat changes to an advertisement. It redirects to another netsite despite weather you say no or not. So needless to say the chat is not functioning

@Maribel Currently there is no option to remove the ads in the bottom of the chatroom. The ads are served via Meebo and Userplane, and to remove them would currently be too expensive.
@Donna I want to help but I need more information! Please go to getsatisfaction.com/blendapps and report your problem, and also include the exact nature of your problem (screenshots are great) and the address to your Ning network.

What happened to the chat program? It says “Over Quota This Google App Engine application is temporarily over its serving quota. Please try again later.”
Can we only have chat open so many hours a day? I tried to go to your chat and saw the same message.
I saw this on the Google App Engine page:
“On June 22nd, 2009, along with many performance improvements, we will be reducing the free quota levels for the billable quotas. App Engine will always remain free to get started. We believe these new levels will continue to serve a reasonably efficient application around 5 million page views per month, completely free.
The new free quota levels to take effect on June 22nd will be as follows:
•CPU Time: 6.5 hours of CPU time per day
•Bandwidth: 1 gigabyte of data transferred in and out of the application per day
•Stored Data & Email Recipients: unchanged
Several fixed quotas may also change on June 22nd for applications without billing enabled. Fixed quotas for applications with billing enabled will not be affected.

@Mike thanks for your comment. Free quotas or not on Google App Engine this will no longer be a problem for the end users, just chat away. The reason it happened this time is that we got a sudden unforseen surge in traffic, but that will no longer be a problem.

Yeah not fixed. Not to mention that half the time when we enter a chat room through Blendapps on Ning we wind up in an EMPTY ROOM. Servers are splitting the rooms for some unknown reason.
When I click “join chat” it should take me to the room where everyone is chatting, instead the server splits and it takes me to a room where NO ONE is chatting, even though all my friends say they are in fact in the room and chatting with X amount of people.
You all blame Userplane, they blame you, someone just fix the darn thing and you wont see anymore complaints (duh).
We’re pretty much fed up with both companies at this point anyways, but it would be nice if we felt our concerns were actually read and cared about.

Dear Sir’s, I have in the past,Sent you numerous request’s as to why. When I up-graded my ning site to a plus plan. I have lost my multi-docking on your video chat room! When two people or three are video chatting, does everyone else in the chat room see their videos?
Does this platform support private chatting, if so how does it work.
Your advise will be highly helpful. My members are a bit uncomfortable not knowing if all the members are seeing or reading their private chat?
